Success is a Choice

What Drives YouWhen it comes down to it, it’s all up to you.

You can start the day doing something you love, spring out of bed, and be ready to go. Or you can keep trudging along.

Jason Kotecki does an amazing job of helping folks break out of “Adultitis” through his cartoons, writing, speaking, and other offerings. Jason and his wife Kim focus on getting back to the fun in life, which in turn brings a more successful and fulfilling life.

I recently had the pleasure of contributing an article to their Escape Adulthood magazine. It talks about how doing your own thing is like a perpetual summer vacation. It’s one of the coolest things you can do, yet there will always be those who will never do it.

Brian and I talked about this a lot while planning out and developing the Teaching Sells program. That there will always be those who won’t take action and jump at the opportunities to be successful. Quite honestly as a coach and consultant, it pisses you off. You want to make everyone successful :).

No matter what drives you, it’s all about choice. It’s about choosing to go for it and about taking the steps necessary.

And if you’re looking for inspiration, be sure to check out Kim and Jason’s place.

  1. Tony – I’m definitely interested in learning more about you and Brian’s teaching sells program. Thanks again for the reminder that it is our choices that determine whether or not we will be happy.

  2. I think, I saw Kim and Jason’s site earlier just like that. But now I went and thoroughly reviewed it.

They are very innovative, and know what they are doing.

And yes, success is a choice! or Work on your choices in life and you will be surely successful.

Lots of time gurus have said this, I am merely repeating –
Close eyes, think what you like most and start doing that. You will do it in the best way and the Universe will conspire to help you (from.. The Alchemist)

  3. Tony-this is a simple message but a truly profound one. It is always about the choices we make.

  4. Jean – And there’s that old saying about if you love it, you’ll never work a day in your life 🙂

Jeremy – It’s one of those basic principles that people often forget.

Awanish – The Alchemist is a terrific book.

Jason – Glad to do it!

Shama – True. Blaming others will only get you so far. Eventually you have to make your own choices.
