“Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach.” – Tom Robbins
Well, it’s that time. You know it in your gut. Can you feel it? Gnawing at you… keeping you up at night?
It’s time to make a decision and run with it. Look at all the tasty varieties behind the glass, and pick a flavor. But, remember this…
The world of the home-based business is fluid, not static. Things change, so there will be other opportunities. Now’s the time to commit to your project, or idea, or business – and set this plan in motion. The longer you wait the harder it becomes.
I know, choosing one thing takes the other things off the table. Keep this in mind though – there will be other days and other opportunities. If you don’t strike now, you may not get another chance with this opportunity.
Now, here’s the kicker…
Two weeks down the road you may find that your idea sucks, or that your project is not nearly as interesting or marketable as you originally thought. One of the best things about being a home-based entrepreneur is your flexibility. High-speed, low drag. If something is not working you can shift quickly, without all the overhead and BS that comes from being in a big company. This is your thing, and it’s up to you what you do with it.
So light this rocket and see where it goes. It may be a blast or it may be a dud.
But you have to light it to find out…
I couldn’t have said it better. I’ve been doing mine for 2.5 years and when I think about it if I had to do something else it would be easy to do. Actually, getting it started was a breeze
Priscilla – Nice point. A lot of times getting our plans off the ground seems like a huge undertaking, but in hindsight, they’re never as hard as we think. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I just found you from a link on Diane Penna’s Write Path blog. Great stuff here! I really enjoy reading your posts. Keep it up.
Thank you so much for stopping by:)
M.

Char – Thanks. I had fun with it. But than again, I have fun with most things 😉
Just like Bruce Lee, you need to be flexible in your style (as he avocated in Jeet Kung Do). Hmmm…thanks for the inspiration for a new post!
*Jumps over a high wall like kung fu pictures of old!*
Griffin – Great reference, and I live to inspire :). I’m looking forward to the post.
